Brandon Hall Group™ is a professional development company that offers data, research, insights, and certification to Learning and Talent executives and organizations. Their Human Capital Management Awards Program was the first to recognize organizations for excellency in L&D and is now widely perceived as a gold standard of achievement within the field.

The category Best Advance in Compliance Training in the Learning and Development program is for a written description of a learning program that was specifically designed to address a compliance driven learning objective.

NBK entered the Excellence Awards in its version of 2023 with IQUAD Learning Solutions, their learning partner and provider of the digital learning solution, as an opportunity to shed light on the successful practices and arrangements currently at one of the best banks in Kuwait and get a global recognition.

 

Compliance training is considered as a form of defense against potential bad actors seeking to take advantage of the National Bank of Kuwait’s position as a leading provider of financial services in Kuwait. In order to mitigate the risks that come with their given position, annual compliance training is deemed mandatory for employees by their own rules and regulations in accordance with the Central Bank of Kuwait as a core element within their overall training & development plan.

The Benefits of this program were not just to be seen with performance and safeguarding the bank from risk, but that they were able to do so while achieving further digitization of the bank as the delivery method of the course was exclusively via online portal, NBK Learning Hub.

The launch of NBK Learning Hub in partnership with IQUAD, has introduced the start of a new and promising learning approach at NBK. The Training and Development Department at NBK, has made remarkable achievements in launching the online platform to promote a training culture across all its branches spanning across 4 continents and 14 countries worldwide- starting from Beijing in the East and reaching to New York in the West, to align with its Digital Transformation Strategy.

To successfully transform the compliance trainings from classroom to online, NBK had to design and create every aspect of the courses to ensure the quality and standards are maintained. As such, with the expertise and support provided by IQUAD as learning partner, the training and development was able to coordinate the efforts between various divisions within the bank and worked with IQUAD to design all required content according to digital learning standards.

NBK Learning Hub represents a comprehensive revolution in the concept of training, by utilizing technology to make E-Learning more appealing and effective for all employees. In addition, it contributes to implementing the strategic plans of the NBK’s training system for “Continuous Learning” with the aim of achieving personal growth as well as enabling investing in employees’ talents and skills, thus driving sustainable growth for the bank.

 

This is one of many successful projects and transformations that NBK has undertaken and has cemented their cooperation with IQUAD as their digital learning partner.
