Working long hours and taking work home with you can harm the natural balance you should have in your life. By learning to manage your time, you can do things you want to do instead of spending all your time on work responsibilities.

Part of time management is determining how you spend your time. Once you determine how you spend your time, you can modify your schedule to increase productivity. For example, you may find that you waste time in meetings when a group e-mail could address the issue just as well.
